For 2011 Wanigas Rod Company is re-introducing a line of fiberglass rods carrying the Deluxe name. Fiberglass rods are experiencing a rebirth as newer thinking is being applied to manufacturing with this material. Being produced specifically for us by one of the nations most respected glass rod technicians these rods incorporate new advancements in the manufacture of fiberglass rods. Using specially laid up S-glass, the result is a stronger, smoother casting rod. Anglers have discovered that typically graphite rods are too stiff. Both fiberglass and bamboo provide a more pleasurable fishing experience. Fiberglass, like bamboo, has a delicate touch or feel in casting and playing fish. They are especially proficient for lighter line weights and short to medium casting distance.
